Pre-war Strategy
It is clear in history that Prussia and Germany were very skilled martial nations. This skill appears to be mostly rooted in their battle strategies and tactics. Their strategic advancements were unsurpassed, and lead them to victory in many battles and wars. They were capable of defeating the enemy (which at times severely outnumbered them) through their use of different weaponry and battle maneuvers. However, World War I was a new kind of war, one very different from the wars they fought when they were known as Prussia. The question was if these successful tactics would remain successful in a new kind of battle. Prussia’s “outdated” strategies could either allow Germany to reap the rewards of victory as they did in previous wars, or may utterly fail, and would need to adapt to this new age of warfare.
